HPL Sheets in Nagpur — Abraze High Pressure Laminate for Countertops, Lab Tops & Commercial Surfaces

High Pressure Laminate (HPL) is a surface material — not a substrate. Bonded to MDF or plywood, it delivers scratch resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance and chemical resistance far beyond standard decorative laminates.

FAQ

HPL Sheets — Common Questions

Yes — HPL can be bonded to an existing clean, flat surface using contact adhesive. The existing surface must be sound, dry and free of any old laminate that is peeling. For a new countertop: bond 1mm HPL to 18mm BWP plywood, trim edges and apply matching ABS or aluminium edge profile.

LPL (Low Pressure Laminate) is manufactured at ~300–500 psi and is already bonded to a substrate (as in prelam boards). HPL (High Pressure Laminate) is manufactured at 1000+ psi as a separate sheet that is then bonded to a substrate. HPL is significantly harder, thicker and more durable than LPL.

Yes — Abraze stocks HPL in solid colours, wood grains, stone textures and abstract patterns. Contact us for the current shade catalogue or to view physical samples at our Nagpur showroom.
